Claypool Inked a One-Year Contract With Buffalo
Wide receiver Chase Claypool has found a new NFL home, signing a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills. The move comes after the former Notre Dame standout spent the past two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In his debut season with Pittsburgh in 2020, Claypool caught 62 passes for 873 yards and nine touchdowns. He also added two rushing touchdowns. Last season, he caught 59 passes for 860 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for two more scores.
Claypool's arrival in Buffalo gives the Bills another dynamic playmaker in their passing attack. He joins a receiving corps that includes Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Isaiah McKenzie. The Bills also addressed the wide receiver position in the 2023 NFL draft, selecting Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman with the No. 113 overall pick.
Claypool will be looking to make an immediate impact with the Bills, who are coming off a disappointing 2022 season. Buffalo finished with a 9-8 record and missed the playoffs after reaching the AFC Championship Game the previous season.
